Man pulls knife on security guard at Fifth Quarter in Ann Arbor

By Heather Lockwood

A man was arrested early this morning after Ann Arbor police say he struck a female patron at the Fifth Quarter, 210 S. Fifth Ave., and then pointed a knife at a security guard.

Police were flagged down by Fifth Quarter security at about 1:40 a.m. after the man pulled out the knife and pointed it at the male guard as he was being escorted from the bar.

The man was arrested and is set to be arraigned 1:30 p.m. today. He is expected to be charged with felonious assault and resisting and obstructing arrest, said Ann Arbor Police Sgt. Brian Jatczak.

Ban bars! No bars = no drunken idiots out on the streets or driving cars on the way home.
