Man robbed at intersection of Packard and Henry streets in Ann Arbor

A 32-year-old man was robbed this morning at the intersection of Packard and Henry streets while walking home from downtown, Ann Arbor police said.

The victim had been out for drinks and was walking to his Henry Street home about 1:38 a.m. when a man approached him, a police report said.

The man grabbed his shirt collar and demanded his money. The victim took out his wallet, grabbed the cash and handed it over, the report said.

The victim walked home and called 911, according to the report.

The robber was described as black, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, between 160 and 175 pounds, 25 to 35 years old, with no facial hair. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information can call Ann Arbor police at (734) 794-6939.

I don't personally think the first comment, which has been deleted, was offensive - but others may differ in their opinion. It involved a realistic violent response to a violent crime. It would be great if no violence existed, and it would also be great if lions ate kibbles-n-bits.

11GOBLUE11, but what would go in the kibbles & bits!?

It's sad that this happens. I am happy this robbery didn't involve a gun though, (or at least one that was visible.)
