Man threatened with knife in parking lot on East University
A man approaching his vehicle in an Ann Arbor parking lot was threatened with a knife at about 3 a.m. Friday, according to police.
The victim told police he was in the 600 block of East University, walking toward a parking lot just south of corner of South University.
As he got closer to the vehicle, a man "jumped out of the back seat," according to an account by police.
That suspect was carrying a pocket knife, and he held it against the victim's chest before running away.
The University of Michigan issued a crime alert about the incident, which was reported to Ann Arbor police.
