Midnight Madness draws shoppers, carolers and jugglers to downtown Ann Arbor
Midnight Madness kicked off the holiday season in downtown Ann Arbor on Friday night — an annual event that included holiday lights, late-night shopping, entertainment and other festivities.
The Main Street Area Association provided sidewalk entertainment, including a cappella groups and a juggler, and Santa and Santa’s mailbox on East Liberty Street. Midnight Madness is followed by two Festive Fridays on Dec. 11 and 18.
Each of the four downtown neighborhood associations — the Main Street Area Association, the South University Area Association, the State Street Area Association and the Kerrytown District Association — organized their own Midnight Madness.
Many stores were staying open until midnight and offering discounts to draw in shoppers.
Residents also got to enjoy Kerrytown's Kindle Fest, which turned the Farmers’ Market area into a holiday bazaar during Midnight Madness with artists, farmers and food vendors.

I'm definitely going to take the money made Friday night and put it right back into one of the many local businesses. It was quite cold Friday evening like last year's Midnight Madness.
