By Cindy Heflin

A multi-vehicle crash was slowing traffic on westbound M-14 on the north side of Ann Arbor Wednesday morning.

The crash, reported to involve five to seven vehicles, was believed to be blocking one lane of the freeway west of Nixon Road and east of U.S. 23, a dispatcher for the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office said about 9:50 a.m. State police had not yet arrived at the crash, the dispatcher said.

Further information was not immediately available.

I do hope there were not any serious injuries.

Stop the presses! There was an accident that cannot be blamed on the road commission!

Hi jcj- We are working on such a story relating to crashes; however, to get a listing of every accident on area freeways it is simply not possible due to the fact that not every incident is reported to officials nor do we have a way to monitor every police response 24/7. Actually I think it would be interesting to see someone create a site similar to crimemapping.com, but I have no idea how the actual entry data would be able to be managed by municipalities.

I said I would not bother asking when we were going to get information on the number of area freeway accidents So I won't ask.
