National Weather Service warns of slick roads around Southeast Michigan

By AnnArbor.com Staff

Motorists in Southeast Michigan are being urged to drive with caution tonight as light snow continues and slick roads are possible.

The National Weather Service issued an advisory for several counties, including Washtenaw County, about the potential for hazardous conditions.

Light snow, with accumulations of less than an inch, is expected late into the night. The weather service said slick spots are possible on untreated roads.

The most persistent snow will shift east from the I-69 corridor south to between M-59 and I-94, the advisory said. Visibilities could drop, making driving even more hazardous.

Thursday's forecast calls for a chance of snow showers before noon, then flurries, The high is near 33 degrees.

This, of course, means "slow down and leave plenty of distance between other cars on the road people!" Let's be safe out there!
