'New' phone was loaded with porn, Ann Arbor woman says

By AnnArbor.com Staff

An Ann Arbor woman was surprised to discover the phone she bought at a third-party Sprint store in Westland was loaded with pornographic videos, WDIV TV reported.

Rhonda Lee said she and her friends found five pornographic videos, some as long as 11 or 12 minutes, on the phone. It was sold with the pieces individually wrapped, WDIV reported.

Lee said Sprint has told her she can get a replacement phone at the store at Briarwood Mall.

Lee told WDIV she was "disgusted and mortified" by the videos.

Definitely setting herself up for a settlement. Isn't there a "buyer beware" law? Especially on used stuff. Could have been sold to a minor, then what? Maybe minors can't buy a phone and enter into a contract. Questions, questions.

Not Newsworthy? If it weren't for this blip, I may have thought about the Gulf, or the United Citizens decision or the Wars or the.... Good thing I don't have to.

This shouldn't even be newsworthy. A woman finds porn on refurbished phone. Oh wow. She's mortified and disgusted. Oh wow. She's a prude who wants the whole world to know that her sensibilities have been 'violated'. Ho hum..... Meanwhile, things of real import are going on all over the world, people are dying of starvation, the ocean is dying, and who is 'mortified' about that? Let's see.... delete the videos and keep your mouth shut? Good idea, but it doesn't have lawsuit written all over it. So, squeal from the highest tower, alert the press, contact your attorney and complain loud and long to the 'offending' party who dared to sell you a refurbished phone that hadn't been thoroughly purged. Yeah, lovely world ain't it?

So let me get this straight: This woman bought a used phone, discovered there were 5 porno videos on it. She watched them all, noted how much time each of the videos lasted, then showed them to her friends..... And now she's "mortified"?

If she was disgusted, how did she find out how long the videos are?
