By AnnArbor.com Staff

There's still time to nominate a deserving young person for AnnArbor.com's Young Citizen of the Year Award.

The award honors community service and leadership on the part of Washtenaw County high school students. AnnArbor.com is accepting nominations through the end of the day Monday.

“When you look at the young people in our community, it gives you a lot of optimism for the future,’’ said Tony Dearing, chief content officer for AnnArbor.com. “They are wicked smart and very engaged and socially involved. We think it’s important to recognize these qualities, and salute the very best of these young men and women.’’

To nominate a young person for this year's award, fill out our form below.

The winner and nine finalists for this year’s award will be announced in May. The winner receives a $2,000 scholarship from AnnArbor.com. Finalists receive $1,000 scholarships from the Robert Bruce Dunlap Fund of the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation.
