Olympic bronze medalist swimmer and U-M graduate Peter Vanderkaay visits Mott Children's Hospital

The hospital declared the day Peter Vanderkaay Day.

Vanderkaay accepted the second Mott Champions for Children Award Friday morning. He has played an important role at Mott Hospital for several years, visiting patients and families, helping the hospital raise money and personally donating to the Champions for Children campaign to build the new C.S. Mott Children’s and Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital, U-M said in a news release.
