Rebekah Warren's support of mothers' right to breastfeed in public makes her the right candidate
Nothing in the world is more important to me than the health of my children and that is why I chose to breastfeed them. The day-to-day demands of life require that mothers must often feed their children away from home.
No one gives bottles and baby food a second thought, but the breastfeeding mother puts herself at risk when feeding her baby in public because in our state, there are no laws that affirmatively say I may breastfeed in public. Each time a mother like me is asked to leave a store, a restaurant, or another public place, it discourages us from doing the best thing we can for our children: breastfeeding.
Rebekah Warren has proposed legislation to make it legal for a mother to breastfeed her baby anywhere she may otherwise legally be. Rebekah wants to make sure mothers are not harassed or segregated for breastfeeding in public. Rebekah supports breastfeeding mothers and babies, and that is why I support Rebekah Warren. Rebekah will have my vote on Aug. 3.  Jennifer S. Hall Ann Arbor

Supporting breastfeeding is indicative of Rebekah Warren's (and other elected officials) support for other family and women's health issues that do motivate my vote for or against a candidate. While as a single issue my vote would not likely be swayed, this broader agenda and specific action taken (such as in Warren's case to support public breastfeeding) makes me proud to vote for her.

This issue is paramount to why I am voting in these upcoming elections. Breastfeeding!

"Rebekah supports breastfeeding mothers and babies, and that is why I support Rebekah Warren." I hope there are other reasons for your support. I would never support someone just because they would mandate a prostate exam. Clearly a needed health issue.
