A media "hate affair" with Sarah Palin will end with Palin coming out the biggest winner, Amy Siskind writes in a column in The Huffington Post.

She says the media's treatment of Palin as she promotes her new book reminds her of what she calls "the media's love affair with candidate and then President Obama."

She says that eventually led to a problem for Obama. "How could Obama possibly live up to the branding image that our media was so willing to propagate? Simply impossible."

She says the "hate affair" with Sarah Palin will also eventually come to an end.

"Here's the thing about extremes - what they lack in longevity they make up for with excitement. Sure our media is having one heck of a time turning Sarah Palin into a modern day Sarah Good; but at some point there will be period of examination and discovery. A mea culpa of having stepped over lines whose consequence will be a judgment of keystrokes."
