Faith in customer's honesty proves out
At a local holiday sale, I sold a hand-woven alpaca wrap to a customer who did not have money with her at the time. I took a chance, told her to take the wrap, suggesting she just forward a check when she got home. Nearly a month went by with no check, but I was certain payment would not be a problem.
This month a large card, with no return address or name, arrived at my studio. Inside was another envelope with the check and a very nice note from my customer.
Also attached to the envelope was a sticky explaining that the letter was delivered to the wrong house in the wrong town, not once, but twice (even though my address was very clearly written on the letter). The second time it was delivered, this kind person just put it in a fresh envelope and sent it to me, successfully.
To the very kind, thoughtful, and persistent person who sent the check and note to me: "Thank you!"
