Ypsilanti needs Paul Schreiber's leadership as mayor

By Letters to the Editor

Ypsilanti is poised to become the arts and entrepreneurial hub that the east side of Washtenaw County needs to make economic revitalization a reality. The city’s combination of historic homes and buildings and parklands provide the backdrop for people interested in investing and living in a vibrant, energized community.

Mayor Paul Schreiber has been a key leader in bringing Ypsilanti to this point. His support and leadership for safe affordable housing, historic preservation, and the arts community are long-standing examples of his activism. When he had children in the public schools, his support of the schools was evident in his tireless involvement as a parent.

Schreiber continues to use his numerous positive community relationships and the trust he has developed over the years to bring people together and inspire them to support his vision of Ypsilanti as a community with a vibrant economic future.

Please vote to re-elect Paul Schreiber for mayor of Ypsilanti in the Aug. 3 Democratic primary.

I don't agree with Mayor Schreiber on every issue, but I do respect the lengths he goes to create coalitions, listen to multiple voices, and represent the populace... not an easy task in our fair Ypsilanti. He's a good man and a good mayor. In the current environment, he's the right person to move us forward.
