Pilot's family rejects NTSB findings in deadly 2007 medical plane crash
Two days after the National Transportation Safety Board concluded that pilot William Serra and the carrier were the cause of the deadly June 2007 medical plane crash, the pilot’s family is rejecting those findings, according to a Detroit News article.
The article reads in part:
“The NTSB's depiction of Capt. William Serra reflects the myopic view often induced by the search for scapegoats rather than causes for accidents," a two-page statement from Serra's family said. "Capt. Serra knew his responsibilities and took them quite seriously."

They can cry all they want about what the NTSB found. "Serra had previously had his license revoked for a felony conviction for flying drugs into the United States and routinely ignored safety procedures, the NTSB said." The family doesn't have a leg to stand on with this. The man was an ex drug runner, how can they expect anyone to have sympathy for them?
