Pittsfield Township firefighters extinguish blaze at duplex

By Kyle Feldscher

Pittsfield Township firefighters extinguished a fire that appeared to be caused by an electrical problem at a duplex on Gross Road Tuesday morning.

Fire Chief Sean Gleason said in a statement released Tuesday that firefighters were dispatched at 10 a.m. Tuesday to the 2800 block of Gross Road. Firefighters arrived to find a duplex that had smoke and flames coming from the windows.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and knocked down remaining hot spots in the building. Investigators said the cause of the fire was “electrical in nature.”

There was no estimate on damages to the duplex and no one was inured in the fire.
