By Lee Higgins

Pittsfield Township firefighters rescued a dog from a fire this morning at a Crane Road home, fire officials said.

No one was injured during the 11:45 a.m. blaze in the road's 5200 block.

Firefighters helped the dog out of a bedroom window at the single-story home, fire officials said.

The fire started near a furnace in a crawl space. It took firefighters 45 minutes to get it under control.

The blaze caused $150,000 damage. At least one person was displaced.
