Pittsfield Township police arrest 2 in attempted break-in at Golfside Lake

By AnnArbor.com Staff

Pittsfield Township police say they nabbed two men who attempted to break into an apartment this afternoon.

A witness called police at about 1:30 p.m. after seeing the men breaking into a window to get into a laundry room of a building at Golfside Lake Apartments, said Gordy Schick, the township's deputy director of police services.

Patrol officers were able to get there quickly and find the two men, Schick said. One ran and was arrested after a short foot chase, and the other was taken into custody without incident.

Police found evidence that the men attempted to break into an apartment, Schick said.

The suspects, a 19-year-old Superior Township man and 19-year-old Pittsfield Township man, were jailed on charges of home invasion and resisting and obstructing.

Schick said both have a criminal history involving break-ins.

Detectives are investigating to determine whether the men could be responsible for additional recent break-ins.

Nice job pittsfield pd... hopefully these bums won't be at it again. With a history of home invasion...maybe they'll do some time. Especially for running from the police. From Superior township, huh? Might they be from the wonderful street of MacArthur?

They'll be back doing it again in 2 weeks with our sweet justice system. They already have a "history".
