Pittsfield Township police looking for Jeep-style vehicle with three people after car break-ins
Pittsfield Township police are attempting to find a dark-colored Jeep Wrangler style vehicle with a soft top seen in the area of four car break-ins Saturday.
Police say the vehicle was seen in the 2100 block of Oak Valley Drive at 2:18 a.m. when the cars were entered.
Police say four vehicles were entered, and items were stolen from two of them, including an iPod and a GPS unit.
Three people were seen walking in the area of the cars that were burglarized, and within three minutes, they drove out of the parking lot in the Jeep, reports said. The victims were away on a trip and returned later that morning to discover their vehicles had been entered, reports said.
Detectives are attempting to obtain surveillance video in the area, police said. Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to call township police at 734-944-4911.
