@beard Don't you ever get tired of stating the same thing every single article? If you don't like the crime between clark and washtenaw, either move or quit complaining. You never have any new argument other than to blame the police because they can't stop every crime. Obviously you don't have any bright ideas to stop it.

@trace_effect... It's Pittsfield, not AAPD. Just want to make sure you know where to direct your anger and frustration. This article just goes back to 8/26, but it is just a small increase to what has been a problem for years. Golfside, in between Clark and Washtenaw, has been getting out of control. People argue that the police can not be everywhere. This is true, but instead of pulling cars over for going 5 over on Washtenaw, they could be patrolling these apartment parking lots. Parts of Pittsfield are very nice, but this area is becoming one of the worst parts of Washtenaw County.

this is getting closer and closer to my apartments...not very happy about the fact that it seems they have no idea how to stop it...my husband drives a work truck home and keeps it locked but if it gets broken into they may not let him keep driving it home and in that case he may not have a way to work and lose his job...i wish the police would step up patrols and start making rounds at all the apartment complexes in pittsfield township to catch these guys

I think it would be beneficial to list the times at which these incidents occurred. And I agree with Engineer, the police should spend the money they get in tickets to put in cameras or something. Or just stop ticketing delivery drivers and get these crazy freshmen doing 50 on s. state on the phone in the wrong lane. Way to fail AAPD.

My son had an attemp on stealing his motorcycle out in freedom township. I called the sheriff's office at 11pm and stayed up till 1 am when I called them back and said don't bother. The sheriff never did make it out and never called back. Speed 5 over and they are right there but you need them and they are a no show. What a waste of my tax dollars. I keep my deer rifle handy to take care of the problem myself next time. I did get bolt cutters and a screw driver the creeps left behind. You would have thought the sheriff would have wanted to finger print but like I said completely worthless. Not my first experience with Washtenaw County Sheriff being not worth a darn.
