Pittsfield Township police investigate robbery at Marco's Pizza

Two Marco's Pizza employees were robbed at gunpoint early today, Pittsfield Township police said.

The robbery occurred at about 12:40 a.m. at the business in the 4000 block of Packard Road.

Two men entered the rear door of the business and held two employees at gunpoint, a police news release said. One of the robbers forced one of the employees open the cash register and took an undisclosed amount of money, the release said.

The employees were unable to provide detailed descriptions of the robbers because they were wearing black masks and black hooded sweatshirts, police said. The employees said the robbers were about 5 feet 5 inches tall, and one was white, the release said,

The robbers exited through the rear door and fled in an unknown direction, the release said. They had a small silver handgun.
