Pittsfield Township police seek victims of car break-ins
Pittsfield Township police arrested an individual last week believed to be responsible for a series of overnight auto break-ins.
Officials are now asking anyone missing items from their vehicles to contact them to file a police report and claim the stolen items.
The person was arrested at about 5:40 a.m. Feb. 3, according to a police message to the community. The car break-ins are believed to have occurred in the area of Michigan Avenue and Platt Road.
Police issued an alert, saying the car break-ins may have occurred in several subdivisions, including Warner Creek, Hidden Creek, Hunters Ridge, Harwood Farms, Tamarack, and Timberview Beacon Square.
Anyone who had items stolen is asked to call police at 734-944-4911.
Police also reminded residents to remove valuables from vehicles and lock their car doors.
