Pittsfield Township workshop to discuss fraud prevention

The Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety and the Pittsfield Township Senior Citizens are holding an event on fraud prevention.

The program will take place from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 at Pittsfield Township Parks and Recreation, 701 Ellsworth Road. It is free and open to the public.

Angela Branch, assistant attorney with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office, will be there.

The workshop will provide an overview of consumer scams, including financial investment and health care, estate planning and identity theft. It will show participants how to protect themselves from being a victim. 

The event also will include a question and answer session.
