Police investigate car break-ins at Pittsfield Township IHOP parking lot

By Erica Hobbs

The Pittsfield Township Police Department is investigating two car break-ins that have occurred over the past week in the parking lot of the IHOP restaurant at 4221 Ellsworth Road.

Police said at least two vehicles have been broken into, including one Sunday. The department said one of the vehicles was forced open, and the other was unlocked.

Graffiti also was found spray-painted on a wall in the area, and police say they suspect juveniles were involved in the break-ins.

Police said they've increased patrols through the area.
