Power out in portion of west Ann Arbor
Nearly 400 DTE Energy customers on the west side of Ann Arbor were without power Tuesday morning after a tree branch came into contact with a power line, the utility said.
DTE restored power to some customers at 11:08, spokesman John Austerberry said. The rest should get power back by 2 p.m., he said.
The utility is bringing in equipment to trim the tree. The power went off at 5:35 a.m., Austerberry said.
The outage area is bordered roughly by West Washington Street on the south, West Park on the east, Arborview Boulevard on the north and North Revena Boulevard on the west, according to the DTE Power Outage map.
Power outages are shown in green and purple on the map.

Thank You for Saving the Planet West Ann Arbor! I hope that these people also pay the extra "Green" fee that DTE has. I wished I believed in this stuff but I rely on science!

Ann Arbor is becoming more and more like a third world banana republic every day.

Interesting. My power went out just before 7 am. It was baffling because the sun was out and I didn't detect any wind blowing. There do seem to be more power outages this summer than in previous summers...

Does it seem like we've been having more power outages this summer than normal? I mean it seems like the power goes out ev
