Power outage reported on the north end of Whitmore Lake

Power is out at Whitmore Lake Elementary School and several homes, officials said in an alert to residents.
Northfield Township police said it appears a general contractor working in the area of of Eight Mile Road inadvertently interrupted power in the area. DTE Energy crews are on the scene, police said at 11:55 a.m.
It's unclear when the power will be restored.
