Powerball $360M jackpot third largest of all time
If you’re feeling lucky, you might want to pick up a Powerball ticket on your way home from work today. The Powerball jackpot stands at $360 million after no one matched the winning numbers last weekend.
The prize is the third largest Powerball jackpot of all time, ABC News reported.
The drawing is at 10:59 p.m. Wednesday and to win it all, players must match all five numbers and the red Powerball. The estimated cash value of the prize is $229.2 million, according to Powerball’s website.
Despite the size of the prize, tickets were not selling at a faster-than-normal pace Wednesday morning at Tippins Market south of Ann Arbor in Lodi Township, manager Steve Kaji said.
A $587 million jackpot last November captured the nation’s imagination and led to a spike in ticket sales as well as articles and blog posts reminding you just how unlikely it is to win. Two other jackpots in the past year have topped $300 million.
