Ann Arbor police are investigating a purse snatching Wednesday night in the Kensington Court hotel parking lot on Hilton Boulevard.

A 26-year-old Kentwood woman was walking through the lot with a friend when a woman walked up behind her and grabbed her purse off her shoulder about 7:35 p.m., police said.

Police say thief got into a light blue car that left the lot, traveling east to South State Street. Three other people were in the car, police said.

The purse contained a cell phone, credit cards and other items, police said.
