Putnam Township man arrested after leading deputies on chase through Dexter Township
Police say a motorcyclist led officers on a chase through Dexter Township Saturday and got away - but was caught the next day.
Washtenaw County Sheriff's deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop Saturday afternoon on the motorist after clocking him traveling more than 100 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone on his motorcycle, reports said.
The driver was approached while traveling on Dexter-Pinckney Road near Alice Hill Road in Dexter Township. Instead of stopping, he led deputies on a pursuit through Dexter Township, reports say.
Police said the man stopped briefly on North Territorial Road near Riker Road, but fled a second time when he was approached by a sheriff’s deputy.
The deputy was able to get the registered cycle information, and the 21-year-old Putnam Township man was arrested the following day and was taken to the Washtenaw County Jail.
He is charged with fleeing and eluding, reckless driving and operating a motorcycle without a cycle endorsement.

@linuxtuxguy - A Reckless driving ticket is speed related. I believe it is 20 miles over the posted speed limit, something to keep in mind next time you're (not you specifically) doing 90 on the freeway.

"Of course, there's a percentage of people like him who ride snowmobiles, dirt bikes and go SCUBA diving and go hunting with guns or bows." That's like saying there's a percentage of people like Ted Bundy that are also scholarhip winners, or like John Wayne Gacy that are political activists. Was the guy riding in his SCUBA gear? I think not!

Scuba diving endangers other citizens? Hunting is dangerous and is a symptom of disregard for others? Please explain the extrapolation from riding 100 mph down Dex/Pink Rd to bow hunting TRUBLU.

I'm so glad they caught him. I saw this guy in action and he was endangering a lot more people than just himself. @djm12652, I don't know if it was a crotch rocket, but it was some medium-sized bike with red accents, if that helps.
