Randy Richardville wins second term in Michigan 17th district state senate race

Republican Randy Richardville of Monroe won his second and final term in Michigan's state Senate Tuesday night, defeating John Spencer in the 17th district, the Jackson Citizen Patriot reported.

The 17th district includes all of Monroe County, part of Jackson County and the southern part of Washtenaw County. The Washtenaw county portion includes Milan and Saline and Bridgewater, Lodi, Manchester, Pittsfield, Saline and York townships.

In Washtenaw County, Richardville won 52 percent of the vote with 147 of 176 precincts reporting. Spencer had 45 percent of the vote.
