Rockin' for the Hungry reaches 200-ton food drive goal
Rockin' for the Hungry reached its 200-ton goal by 2:30 p.m., on the last day of its five-day run.
Organizers say they'll have updated totals by Monday in the food drive benefitting Food Gatherers. The event ran from Wednesday morning through 5 p.m. today outside Busch's on South Main Street.

The annual event was sponsored by ann arbor's 107one and Busch's on South Main Street. Busch's offered pre-bagged quantities customers could purchase for $10 and give to program.
The radio station broadcast from outside the store, where Food Gatherers volunteers was also stationed, and bins were filled with donations.
Organizers praised the community for stepping up this year, when need for donations was greater than ever.
Food Gatherers is the area's largest food rescue and collection organization and distributes more than 4.6 million pounds of food annually.
