17-year-old faces vandalism charges after spray-painting arrest in Saline

A 17-year-old Saline resident faces charges of malicious destruction of property after being caught spray painting in April under the tag name Wack, according to the Saline Reporter.

The 17-year-old was arrested April 15 for spray painting behind the Country Market building, 1335 E. Michigan Ave, according to the Reporter. Further investigation revealed many other incidents of graffiti in the city.

The teen faces six counts of misdemeanor malicious destruction of property, according to the report.

The destruction of other people's property needs to be dealt with harshly. This practice of spray painting tags on buildings has become all too common. If the penalties were severe, maybe a second thought would occur before the act commences.
