Enjoy your book in the great outdoors
Park & Read passes are now available for checkout at Saline District Library, thanks to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the Library of Michigan. Each one-day pass, a $10 savings, waives the entrance fee at Michigan's 101 beautiful state parks and recreation areas. For those who would like to relax with a good book in a picturesque setting, 71 of the parks have hammocks available for Park & Read users to borrow for the day.
Park & Read passes also provide free access to any of the more than 500 events held in the state parks throughout the summer and fall, and can be used at 11 museums and historic sites in the Michigan Historical Museum system.
Check out a Park & Read pass at Saline District Library, 555 N. Maple Road, Saline, now through October 1. Passes are available on a first-come first-served basis and are valid for seven days from checkout. Call 429-5450 for details, or visit us at www.salinelibrary.org. Be sure to see the library’s Facebook page for updates.
