"We are very excited to have Kelly on board,” Cindy Czubko, Main Street board chair, said in a news release. “Her Main Street experience working in a nonprofit Great American Main Street community and her experience fundraising and working with volunteers will be very beneficial as we build our new Main Street program.”

Saline was chosen earlier this year as the 17th Michigan Main Street Community.

“I am honored and pleased to be working in and for the community of Saline,” Idzikowski said in the news release.“I am committed to doing my best as the Saline Main Street manager.”

She plans to live in the Main Street district and was chosen from a pool of 30 applicants who applied for the opening.

Her selection was made by a seven-member selection team from the Saline Main Street Board, the Saline Downtown Merchants Association and the City of Saline.
