Man dies after tractor falls on him in Saline Township
A Saline Township man died Monday after he was pinned underneath a tractor in what appears to be a farming accident, according to Michigan State Police.
Sgt. Wayne Smith, of the Michigan State Police Brighton Post, said there doesn’t seem to be any foul play involved in the incident.
More details on the incident were not immediately available, but a statement from a state trooper who responded to the scene is expected, Smith said.
The incident occurred in the 9000 block of Maple Road in Saline Township on Monday afternoon, according to reports.

I lived on a farm the first 18 years of my life and lost one of my closest friends in a farm accident right after high school graduation. My wife lost a cousin in a farm accident a few years later. Is is very dangerous and the equipment is very unforgiving

I'm curious as to the statistics on this kind of accident. I am only 50 years old and know three people who have died this way. My condolences to the family.
