Marijuana plants discovered growing in Saline woods
Saline police say a man found a stash of intentionally-planted marijuana in the woods along a walking trail on the city’s north side.
The 34-year-old Saline resident said he was recently walking along the trail that runs west from Harris Street near Clark Street toward the Depot Museum when he stepped into the woods on the trail’s north side.
A few feet into the woods, the man said he found three small marijuana plants in black plastic flower pots, reports said.
The man walked to the police station and showed officers the location of the plants. They found another group of plants nearby in a 5-gallon drum. All of the plants appeared small, unhealthy and dying, likely due to the heavy shade in the area, reports said.
Police took the plants and destroyed them.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Don Lupi at 734-429-7911, or e-mail him at dlupi@cityofsaline.org.

Without a dispensary what is one to expect? It doesn't sound like Saline will ever be safe from reefer madness. Get informed...420domains.com

Not much of a surprise really. Stuff is likely growing in the library woods too. Used to be able to smell it from the kids sitting on those benches by the library woods, smoking dope. Where ya'll been?

The Saline Historical Society, which is located in the train depot just feet away, has been trying to raise money lately. Maybe they were just branching out into a new field of dreams.
