Road work planned Monday on Pleasant Lake Road in Lodi Township

By Lisa Allmendinger

Motorists should be aware that the Washtenaw County Road Commission plans work on Pleasant Lake Road east of Reno Road and west of Zeeb Road in Lodi Township on Monday.

C & C Contractors is expected to spend one day micro-sealing that portion of Pleasant Lake Road, and traffic will be restricted to one lane with flagmen.

Micro sealing is a way to extend the life of a road by filling in cracks with mixture of rock and asphalt that seals out water. Once applied, it dries quickly, which allows traffic to drive over it soon after the coating has been applied.

During this daytime work, access for residents, businesses and deliveries will be maintained, however, delays are likely, according to information from the Road Commission.

In addition, micro-sealing operations are weather dependent, so the work may be postponed.
