Saline Police Department to soon have new patrol car
The Saline Police Department will soon have a new patrol car after the City Council unanimously approved the purchase of the new vehicle at its regular meeting Monday night.
The new Ford Crown Victoria police patrol car has a price tag of about $21,000. It will be purchased from Gorno Ford, which provided the lowest bid.
The vehicle will replace a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria patrol car that’s currently in service, and which will be reassigned as a detective car once the new patrol car arrives in town.
A 1998 Ford Taurus, which is currently being used as a detective vehicle, will be declared surplus property and will be sold either at auction or through a bidding process.
