More than $1,300 worth of merchandise was stolen from an auto service store in Saline between Saturday evening and Sunday morning, according to police.

The owners of M & D Auto Service, 200 E. Michigan Ave., reported the break-in to police at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the Saline police report, the break-in occurred some time between 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday morning.

According to the report, an unknown person or persons entered the business by smashing a ground-floor window and left through the rear door of the store.

A 120-gigabyte Apple iPod, a Renegade Amp kit, a sub woofer, two Renegade sub woofers, four Axxera stereo receivers, two Axxera car stereos, copper wire and a Tupperware bin were all reported stolen. Police said the items were worth $1,385 combined.
