Saline police are looking for three people — two men and a woman — who they believe stole more than $460 in saws and saw blades from a hardware store on Oct. 20.

Detective Don Lupi released a statement from police Monday morning with images from a security camera at the Junga’s Ace Hardware Store during a larceny on Oct. 20. According to police, the three people entered the store and committed the theft between 2:19 and 2:22 p.m.

Security camera footage showed one of the men removing Sawzall saw blades from a display and putting them in the woman’s bag. The other man took a boxed Rotozip saw and placed it inside his jacket. The three people left the store without paying for anything.

According to police, the total cost of the stolen items was $468.

The thefts were discovered when store employees were doing inventory and the security camera footage was reviewed following the discovery.

All of the suspects appear to be in their 20s and all three people are white.

Anyone with information on the theft is encouraged to call the Saline Police Department at 734-429-7911 and ask for Lupi or Officer Dennis Gruschow.
