Seat belt enforcement in Saline leads to 10 citations
Saline police say they cited 10 motorists for not wearing their seat belts during a special enforcement effort along Michigan Avenue last week.
One officer was patrolling the stretch of Michigan Avenue between Maple and Hall streets and stopped the seat belt law violators between 8:30 a.m. and noon on June 3, police reports said.
The officer also issued tickets for speeding, disobeying traffic signals, improper turns, and license infractions. The next seat-belt enforcement initiative has not yet been announced.

I think the point is there are a lot of people out there not wearing seat belts and Saline is "cracking down" on it. I would really love to see Art Aisner tell you how to do your job.

I saw the Parking Enforcement Officers issuing parking tickets. What, not a single word about it here? Equally newsworthy.
