Tales of 'Wicked Washtenaw County' to be told Sunday in Saline

By Lisa Allmendinger

Get ready to hear tales of body snatching, murder, strangulation, a burial under corn husks and other intriguing cases from the author of "Wicked Washtenaw County - Strange Tales of the Grisly and Unexplained."

James Mann, a local history author and columnist, will present a program for the Saline Area Historical Society about the county’s dark and sordid history on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the media center at Liberty School at 7265 Ann Arbor-Saline Road.

The free program is part of the historical society’s March meeting and is open to anyone.

The program will be preceded by the society’s annual meeting as well as a short business meeting that includes a vote on the society’s board of directors.

Anyone interested in running for a director’s seat should contact historical society President Dean Greb at 734-944-0713.
