Scio Township fire department to host charity car wash Saturday for North Star Reach
The Scio Township Fire Department is holding a charity car wash to benefit North Star Reach, a newly established non-profit organization that plans to help children with serious medical issues.
The event starts at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the fire department located at 1055 N. Zeeb Road.
Car washes are free but individuals who donate can win prizes including free movie passes to the Goodrich Quality 16 Theater, gift cards to local restaurants and salons and two free oil changes to the Suburban Chevrolet of Ann Arbor dealership on Jackson Road.
The department will also be raffling off a $280 golf package for Polo Fields Golf and Country Club and a $150 package to Fran Coys Salon and Spa.
North Star Reach building is located on 105 acres in Pinckney and the organization plans to open in 2014 to provide a camp experiences for children.
