Severe thunderstorm warning canceled for Washtenaw County
The National Weather Service has canceled a severe thunderstorm warning for Washtenaw County that was in effect until 5:45 p.m.
Around 4:21 p.m., Doppler radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. These storms were located along a line extending from Chelsea to Onsted and moving northeast at 40 mph, according to the weather alert.
Severe thunderstorms will be near:
Hudson Mills and Hudson Mills metropark around 4:30 p.m.
Pleasant Lake and Dexter around 4:35 p.m.
Delhi Mills around 4:40 p.m.
Macon and Barton Hills around 4:45 p.m.
Milan and Saline around 4:55 p.m.
Whittaker and Pittsfield Township around 5:00 p.m.
The warning includes areas surrounding these locations: Willis, Dixboro, Ypsilanti, Saline, Salem, Onsted, Milan, Manchester, Dexter, Clinton, Chelsea and Ann Arbor.
