Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Washtenaw County

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Washtenaw County until 6 p.m. Wednesday.

At 4:53 p.m. a severe storm was located near Petersburg, the weather service says, and it was moving northeast at 40 mph.

Winds up to 60 mph are possible, according to the warning.
