The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department and Michigan State Police are on the lookout for a black Ford SUV in connection with tools stolen in Sylvan Township.

Police were dispatched to the 12900 block of M-52 around 9:30 p.m. for a burglary in process, according to the sheriff’s department.

Police said the burglar gained entry into both an attached garage and work van parked outside the residence before fleeing to a vehicle parked nearby. 

The thief then parked his vehicle behind another barn on Jerusalem Road and broke into a second detached garage, police said.
