Sheriff's office investigates 8 recent burglaries in Ypsilanti, Scio townships

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office is investigating eight burglaries that occurred last week and through the weekend in Ypsilanti Township and Scio Township, according to a media summary.

Following are the details of the incidents:

• Feb. 25, deputies responded to a call of a burglary
• 5000 block of Jackson Road, west of Luella Drive, in Scio Township
• A laptop computer, unknown amount of cash were reported stolen
• The incident is thought to have occurred between 7 p.m. Feb. 24 and 9:50 a.m. Feb. 25


• Feb. 25, deputies responded to a call of a burglary
• 2000 block of Holmes Road, west of Wiard Road, in Ypsilanti Township
• Suspect or suspects entered through an unlocked door
• Unknown amount of audio-visual equipment was reported stolen
• Occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Feb. 23 and 10:40 a.m. Feb. 25.


• Feb. 25, deputies responded to a call of a burglary from a garage
• 1000 block of East Clark Road, west of Fall River Road, Ypsilanti Township
• GPS device reported stolen from a gargage
• Occurred sometime between midnight Feb. 11 and 7 p.m. Feb. 25


• Feb. 25, deputies responded to call of a burglary
• 600 block of Belmont Drive, east of Leforge Road, in Ypsilanti Township
• Suspect or suspects forced open a door to gain entry
• Two video game systems, various video games were reported stolen
• Occurred sometime between 7 and 9 p.m. Feb. 25.


• Feb. 26, deputies responded to call of a burglary
• 800 block of Tyler Road, east of Emerick Street, in Ypsilanti Township
• Suspect or suspects entered by breaking out a basement window, removing the screen and crawling through
• A shotgun, rifle, two MP3 players and jewelry were reported stolen
• Occurred between 3 p.m. Feb. 25 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26


• Feb. 27, deputies responded to call of a burglary
• 600 block of Villa Drive, east of Leforge Road, in Ypsilanti Township
• Suspect or suspects entered by breaking out a window
• A laptop computer and two TVs were reported stolen
• Occurred sometime between 7:45 pm. Feb. 26 and 12:45 a.m. Feb. 27


• Feb. 27, deputies responded to call of a burglary
• 800 block of Debby Court, east of Emerick Street, in Ypsilanti Township
• Suspect or suspects pried a door open to gain entry
• A keyboard, digital recording mixer and a speaker were reported stolen
• Occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m. Feb. 26 and 8 a.m. Feb. 27


• Feb. 27, deputies responded to call of a burglary
• 500 block of Woburn Drive, east of Leforge Road, in Ypsilanti Township
• Suspect or suspects forced a door open to gain entry
• A Nintendo Wii game system, Nintendo Wii games, a flash drive and a purse were reported stolen
• Occurred sometime between noon and 6:45 p.m. Feb. 27
