CNN picked up the report from Detroit News station WDIV about a South Lyon boy's wish for Christmas cards.

The story of a South Lyon boy dying of cancer — and his family's plea for folks to send him Christmas cards — has garnered some far reaching attention.

The family says they do not expect 5-year-old Noah Biorkman, who has neuroblastoma, to live until Christmas. He loves Christmas cards, and his family asked for the cards to give him some holiday cheer early this year.

They've received cards by the car load from around the world and even received a visit from Detroit Tiger Brandon Inge, they told Detroit TV station WDIV.

The WDIV story was picked up on CNN.
