The Stockbridge Police Department is looking for a man accused of exposing himself - and police say the same man is believed to be responsible for a series of similar incidents in Washtenaw County in late January and early February.

The man, described as white and in his 40s, is accused of looking into a young female’s room with his pants down. That incident occurred in Stockbridge at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A gray mini-van was parked in front of the home and was seen driving by the residence earlier that day, according to police reports. Police say the resident’s daughter had several female friends playing in the yard that day, which may have drawn the man's attention.

Reports say the van had several dents in the side, which appear to be from someone punching or kicking it.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department believes the incident was similar to those that occurred in Washtenaw County and believe the man is the same person.

The local incidents occurred in Dexter, Webster Township and Scio Township, where police say the man exposed himself to women and children.

Police are looking for a gray Ford mini-van.

Anyone who sees the van is asked to take down the plate number and call 911, the department’s confidential tip line at 734-973-7711 or Detective Tom Boivin at 734-973-4625.
