Two men who kicked in the front door of a Superior Township home Tuesday were confronted by the homeowner and were scared away, Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies said.
The incident occurred at about 11 a.m. in the 1700 block of Savannah Lane, a sheriff's department incident summary said.
Deputies were unable to locate the men.
The homeowner did not provide investigators with a detailed description of them.
Mitch’s Place, a mainstay in the South University Avenue bar scene, known for its cheap beer and comfortable atmosphere, closed last night due to economic concerns, according to a bar employee.
Jody Thompson, who is listed as a contact on the bar's website, wrote in an e-mail to The Michigan Daily last night that the bar was forced to shutter.
