Suspect follows Ann Arbor man to parking lot and rams him with his truck

By Kody Klein

A man rammed his blue pickup truck into a bystander and his vehicle at a parking lot in the 2100-block of Fuller Road on Thursday morning, reported the University of Michigan Police Department.

Diane Brown, U-M police spokeswoman, said the victim had a verbal exchange with the suspect "quite a ways away" from the parking lot and it's likely the suspect followed the victim there.

At the parking lot, the suspect struck the victim's vehicle with his truck. The victim stepped in front of his vehicle and was struck multiple times before the suspect left.

The victim did not require medical attention.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot, 280-pound, white male with dark, curly, unkempt hair, wearing glasses and a green coat.

Road Rage. I'm surprised no CCTV recorded the events?

Wow, I can't believe all of the comments here! I am sure that this was a really scary situation for the victim! To have someone follow you and then to keep ramming your car must have been terrifying. I sure hope that they catch the person. Just because the victim did not require medical attention does not mean that he was not injured. What ever happened to human compassion?

I'm certain the victim was trying to get the driver's attention away from destroying the car. Perhaps it was not a wise choice, but in the heat of the moment, we all react! It is a terrible thing when people injure others and/or their property when disagreeing. What ever happened to respect, responsibility, understanding and caring for others? What is worse, this aggressor probably will have no repercussions for his actions. What a sad story.

Anyone who can be hit by a pickup truck multiple times and not require medical attention has a good shot at being cast in the lead role for "Unbreakable 2".

"The victim stepped in front of his vehicle and was struck multiple times before the suspect left. " I disagree. Anybody who steps in front of a moving vehicle needs their head examined.

Gems of society. I think A2.com needs a NY Post-style "salacious gossip" section for these sorts of things.

"At the parking lot, the suspect struck the victim's vehicle with his truck. The victim stepped in front of his vehicle and was struck multiple times before the suspect left. The victim did not require medical attention." I'm confused.... usually these two things......being struck multiple times with a vehicle......and NOT requiring medical attention.....are mutually exclusive things....

Billy I am not so sure where you get this 'only in the USA' thing, unless you are a practicing attorney in a few hundred countries.

Yes, sounds like the police are just trying to invent a crime. "Verbal Assault" might be something to get in trouble at a grade school but doesn't go down too well in a court of law, so now he hit the person with his truck, that is a felony. Only in the USA can you be hit with a felony and not hurt anybody or steal anything
